“I think the videos are really great–the video angles are super helpful and they are setup really well. I appreciate that you loop the sections well and break down the songs systematically. Also, the notes are really great with the guitar chords for when I play the song with my wife. Thanks again!”

“The teaching video is super clear. The overhead view of the fingerboard is extremely helpful!”

How do online lessons work?
I host my online lessons through Zoom. You only need a free Zoom account!
I meet students where they are at musically and help them get to where they want to be. I like to figure out technical areas that students can improve on (bowing, tone, theory from a fiddlers perspective) and work on those areas while building repertoire. I also enjoy accommodating specific tune or skill requests!
I don’t teach the same way for each student. I pride myself on being able to understand each students learning style and individual needs and adapt my teaching style accordingly.
Do I need any special equipment for online lessons?
The only thing necessary for online lessons is a computer with a web camera. You don’t need a special microphone or anything else.
Where do I find info about the lesson I just booked?
After checking out, you’ll receive an email that contains a receipt and either directions to our studio or directions for logging onto your Zoom lesson.
Do I get practice materials?
I create a private Google Drive folder for each student. At the end of each lesson, I record a video of myself outlining what we worked on during our lesson and upload it to the Google Drive folder, which has a built in slow-down feature to make practicing easy.
Can I reschedule or cancel a lesson I’ve already booked?
Yes! The confirmation email you received when you booked your lesson contains a link that allows you to reschedule or cancel your lesson within 24 hours of your scheduled lesson start time.
How do Lesson Packages work?
When you purchase a Lesson Package, you receive a code worth 4 hours of lessons. You can book any combination of 30 minute or 1 hour in-person or online lessons totaling 4 hours. You can book them all at once or one at a time until your credits run out.
Can I purchase lessons for someone as a gift?
Yes! The Gift Certificate option is listed directly below the Lesson Package option and functions identically to a Lesson Package. You can have the certificate emailed directly to the lucky recipient or print off a physical certificate and give it to them personally.
